The Resort Township Hall is available for use by Township residents. This includes the meeting room, a kitchen, restrooms, 75 chairs, and 6 tables. There is no charge for the use of any of the facilities. There is, however, a $150.00 deposit. Please make check out to "Resort Township". The check deposit will be returned via mail when the Hall Use Form and key are returned and the Hall is checked for cleanliness/damages:
- No smoking is allowed in the building. It is a public building and subject to the laws of the State of Michigan.
- No alcoholic beverages are to be sold, served, or consumed on the Township property.
- The building must be left in the same condition (or better) as it was found.
- The Hall may be decorated with table top decorations only. No tape. No thumb tacks.
- Please take your trash with you. Garbage bags are in the closet.
- There is a vacuum in the closet that can be used to sweep the carpet.
- Do not bring animals to the Hall as there are no provisions for them.
- The Hall is not available to conduct business such as retail, sales, services for profit.
- A checklist must be filled out and returned with the key to the Township Clerk.
- The Township Board hires a person to keep the facilities clean, but we do not feel that it is fair for the entire Township to pay to clean up after a few. Therefore, if the cleaning people have to be called in after your event to do a special cleaning, their wages and any cleaning supplies used will be deducted from your deposit.
- As the building is being used more frequently by the governmental services as well as groups, it is necessary that any decorations be done the same day as the event and cleanup be completed the same day and directly following completion of the function.
All requests for the use of the hall must be made by calling the Township Hall (347-7915) and asking for the Clerk or by calling the Clerk, Lucy Eppler (347-0755).
