The Parks and Recreation Committee meets on the second Thursday of the month. This Committee ensures that the parks are maintained and plans for future improvements. Resort Township affords Township residents and visitors access to both Walloon Lake and Little Traverse Bay. The four Township parks are situated on these natural features ensuring public access to the waterfront is provided for the future.

Parks and Recreation Recommended Mission Statement
The Parks and Recreation Committee shall review all activities, including, operation, improvements, plans, etc., of Resort Township properties that are not specifically delegated, by law or by the Township Board, to others, shall maintain and follow the Resort Township Recreation Master Plan, and shall make recommendations regarding these matters to the Township Board.
